We use Drupal to deliver the BEST to our customers.
What is Drupal?
Drupal is a content management system (CMS), a set of software applications and programs used to create and manage digital content. Drupal isn't the easiest system for developers to learn or use, but we're convinced it delivers the best results for our customers.
Why we choose Drupal
Drupal developers are dedicated to high-quality, standards-based code. Every line of code in the Drupal core is "meticulously scrutinized" and revised "dozens, if not hundreds" of times to meet quality and security standards.
What does that mean for you? We develop your website to the highest standards of quality and security. We're familiar with other CMS options; we've had to solve security problems on sites built with some of them. We trust Drupal. So do Cisco, Dartmouth, Harvard, Pinterest, The Red Cross, The United Nations World Food Programme, and thousands of others!
2. Open Source
Drupal is available free to anyone. Drupal developers are committed to sharing their work and making the web better for everyone.
What does that mean for you? You save money! You don't pay a dime to use the Drupal CMS. Your enterprise level Drupal website can deliver content and user experience to engage your audience and drive ecommerce through web, mobile, and social channels—and you won't pay a dime for the core CMS!
You also pay nothing to use any of the nearly 38,000 modules that perform web functions or even to use entire distributions. A distribution is like a customizable starter kit for a specific type of website (for example, a church, school, or store website). If Drupal includes a distribution for the kind of website you need, we can spend less time configuring themes, modules, and features. Less time for us means less cost for you!
Drupal is maintained and developed by over 1,000,000 members of a global community, so collaboration is intentionally woven through every part of Drupal. Collaboration may seem like a theoretical ideal, but . . .
Here's how it benefits you: Drupal's collaborative workflow means we can hire the most talented and creative developers, regardless of location. Our team members make their homes from Iowa—through Texas—and all the way to Brazil! We think you—our clients —deserve the best. That's why we get so excited about . . .
The Drupal core and modules offer complete website solutions, but they also invite innovation. With Drupal, we can develop custom features and modules to meet niche customer needs.
What that means for you: At Covenant, we listen to our customers. We find out what you really need because with Drupal, we can develop a unique website for your business that will meet your exact needs. Here are a few examples of what we're working on right now:
—A website for a parent company publishes Materials Data Sheets that are frequently updated. Each update must be simultaneously updated on the websites of the parent company's 12 subsidiaries. Updating 13 websites is a time-consuming and expensive process. So we're saving all the companies money by developing an API architecture that allows all 13 sites to share code from a single source.
—An ecommerce site displays endless product options as a user scrolls down the page. To enable more display space, we're making the menu fade when a user begins to scroll. But if the user starts to scroll back up, the menu fades back into view.
—A software sales site allows buyers to customize modules on the software package they purchase and download. Along with developing customizable software packaging through the website, we're developing tracking functions so that software updates can be sent out based on specific product purchases.
Several Drupal modules are designed to translate website content into a user's language.
That benefits you if your customers include non-English speakers. The software sales site mentioned above is expected to reach 6 or 7 languages! Drupal modules will deliver translations, which will then be refined by fluent editors to assure accuracy in each language.
What does your website need? We can do it with Drupal!
