Lotus Moments Event Center
Who?:
Lotus Moments Event Center is a celebration venue located in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The historic brick building now home to Lotus Moments has been recently remodeled and has exquisite wood flooring. The event center can serve up to 300 guests for a sit down dinner and is complete with a dance floor and catering kitchen. Perfect for events ranging from wedding receptions to birthday parties, Lotus Moments is a fantastic place to hold any special occasion in the Des Moines area.
Why?:
Lotus Moments Event Center already had a nice website design that they wanted to keep. However, the old website was difficult to edit and did not tolerate adding features easily. Lotus Moments wanted to add multiple photo galleries and a calendar showing availability for visitors to see. In addition to preserving their site design, Lotus Moments also wanted to keep their floor layout planning tool that was built in Flash from their old website.
Wow!:
We built a completely new website for Lotus Moments Event Center but we preserved and polished the look and styling of the old website as they wanted. But at the same time, we were able to accommodate new features like a Facebook news feed, and a step by step event planning tool. The Lotus Moments Event planning tool is particularly neat because we added the needed calendar for posting availability and at the same time, we preserved the Flash floor plan tool. Another important feature that we added was a fully customizable photo gallery to accommodate all the great pictures of the fantastic Lotus Moments Event Center. With Lotus Moments, we were able to work together to find just the right balance between keeping old features and adding new ones to complete the intended functionality of the Lotus Moments Event Center website.
